In creating my hand-colored originals, I begin with black and white photography. The images are custom-printed on fiber-based paper, then painstakingly hand-colored using dyes, oils, and oil pencils. Each photograph is selectively painted, allowing some of the black-and-white tones to remain. Settings and props... I enjoy taking photographs outdoors using natural light. My picturesque acre of gardens, located in Lynnwood, Washington provides the perfect backdrop with flowers in bloom throughout the seasons. I have a professionally equipped indoor studio, as well and can create a special setting to reflect your child's personality–your child's favorite toys or pets are welcome too. I have a large collection of hats and props available and will also advise you on clothing choices. Specialty images... Pictures may also be taken on location, in your garden or the beach and are not limited to young children. Any age group works well and generational photographs are a specialty.
